Hello! I am Gabrielle, the founder of Connected-care.io.

The story behind Connected-care.io unfolded from my personal journey. I first started University as a medical student, but I was frustrated with how the healthcare system operated and decided to put that degree on hold and try something completely different… Actuarial Science. While Actuarial Science typically focus on the insurance industry, I personally view it as rigorous training in mathematics and predictive modelling with broad applications across sectors. From those early days at University, I envisioned ways medicine and the health system could improve if established technologies like relational databases, digital portals and bayesian statistics were adopted.

Over a decade later, I have had the privilege to learn invaluable skills working for companies at the forefront of Data Science, Technology and Research. More and more industries have come to adopt and benefit from “big data and AI”, but the healthcare industry unfortunately still lags behind. There are low hanging fruits from a technical point of view that have the potential to deliver tremendous positive impacts, and we want to help the industry unlock this value.

At Connected-care.io, we seek to work with partners who are embedded in the health sector to deliver change. Our work to date has supported initiatives across diagnostic decision support systems, novel therapeutics for mental health, preventive health applications and digital pathology. Most importantly, we are curious, willing to learn new things and motivated to deliver impactful solutions.
